Zvonko is back! After a long and sunny summer Zvonko reappeared in the hearth of Slavonija, in the town of Požega. Activity Zvonko’s quiz – Be a man, change the rules (Zvonkov kviz – Budi muško, mijenjaj pravila) is conducted in cooperation between UNDP Croatia, Croatian Ministry of Interior and Status:M.
Primary school “Dobriša Cesarić” from Požega, hosted Zvonko and Status:M team, together with team from UNDP Croatia and a lecturer from MUP Croatia. As part of a “Living a life without violence” (Živi život bez nasilja) program Zvonko’s quiz was presented to around 100 young students of the school. Short videos and positive messages opposing violence were awarded in the end with a loud cheer from all the boys and girls present –“Be a man – change the rules”. An interactive workshop was also accompanied by an interesting lecture about the definitions of violence, and a play directed by Zijah Sokolović “Violence, for violence there is no excuse”.
At the very end of the activity young people had a chance to sign a poster, thus symbolically saying that they will oppose violence and discrimination. Zvonko is again on the road next week. He will be going to an opposite part of Croatia, to Dubrovnik. There a new group of young people will have a chance to talk and learn about the presence and dangers of violence in our lives.
