Oslikan novi grafit “Budi muško, ne budi nasilnik”

Štićenici Odgojnog zavoda Turopolje uspješno su završili sudjelovanje na prvom ciklusu radionica Budi muško kluba provedenom kroz 12 termina od rujna do prosinca 2014. godine. Tim organizacije Status M održao je aktivnost ukrašavanja zida Odgojnog zavoda Turopolje grafitom, koja označava završetak ciklusa radionice BMK.

Radionice neformalnog obrazovanja usmjerene na izgradnju osobnih vještina, promociju nenasilnih ponašanja i rodnu ravnopravnost sa svrhom sprečavanja štetnih ponašanja i recidiva dio su projekta ‘Budi muško, promijeni svijet – prevencija institucionalizacije adolescenata i izgradnja kapaciteta centara za socijalnu skrb, odgojnih zavoda te organizacija civilnog društva za rad s mladićima’ koji će uključiti više od 100 mladića kroz naredne tri godine. Suradnja s Odgojnim zavodom Turopolje provodi se od 2013. Godine te je do sada kroz Budi muško klub uključila više od 30 mladih muškaraca.

Projekt se provodi u partnerstvu s Upravom za zatvorski sustav (Ministarstvom pravosuđa RH) i Centrima za socijalnu skrb Čakovec, Rijeka i Zagreb, a pod sponzorstvom Ministarstva socijalne politike i mladih.

Također, do sad je održan i jednodnevni seminar za zaposlenike/ice Odgojnih zavoda Turopolje i Kaznenih zavoda u Glini sa ciljem pripreme na predstojeću multisektorsku suradnju koja će izravno uključiti i više od 35 osoba iz partnerskih institucija i nevladinih udruga.

U narednim tjednima započet će naredne faze projekta: početak internetske edukacije ‘Inicijativa mladića’ u trajanju od mjesec dana sa ciljem izgradnje kapaciteta stručnjaka/inja, započeti će se radionice Budi muško kluba u Rijeci, Zagrebu i Čakovcu te nastaviti drugi ciklus radionica BMK sa mladićima u Turopolju.

Tim Status M-a očekuje nastavak uspješne suradnje sa svim partnerskim organizacijama i nada se stvaranju pozitivnih društvenih promjena kroz osnaživanje mladih muškaraca!

New graffiti “Be a man, don’t be violent” painted

Young men from Turopolje Correctional Institute have successfully accomplished cycle of 12 workshops of Be a man club delivered by Status M team between September and December 2014th. Team from Youth organization Status M held an activity of decorating the wall of Correctional Institution TUROPOLJE with graffiti, which marks the end of the BMK workshop cycle.

Informal education workshops aimed at promotion of positive and non violent behaviors, gender equality and personal skills development with the goal of prevention of criminal and harmful behavior are part of the project named ‘Be a man, change the world – Prevention of institutionalization of adolescents and capacity building of Social Welfare Centers, Correctional Institutes and Civil Society Organizations for working with young men’ which will involve more than 100 young men in the following three years. The cooperation with Turopolje Correctional Institute is taking place since 2013th and has involved more than 30 young men through the Be a man clubs up till now.

The project ‘Be a man, change the world’ is being delivered in partnership with the Prison Administration of the Ministry of Justice and Centers for Social Welfare Čakovec, Rijeka and Zagreb and is sponsored by Ministry of Social Policies and Youth.

Alongside with workshops carried with young men in Turopolje, a one day preparatory seminar for the employees of Correctional Institute Turopolje and Penitentiary in Glina has been delivered and it marks a beginning of multisectoral cooperation which will take place in following three years by involving more than 35 experts from institutions and civil society.

In upcoming weeks the following project activities will take place: the launch of month long online course ‘Young men initiative’ as capacity building phase for youth workers from partner institutions and CSOs, launch of Be a man club workshops in Rijeka, Zagreb and Čakovec and launch of second workshop cycle of BMK in Turopolje.

The team of Status M is looking forward to continue a fruitful cooperation with partners, with the goal of creating a positive change in society by empowering a young men from our environment!
