STATUS:M

Striving for a gender equal society

  • Creating a better society since 2010

Status M was established by team of people in 2006 with the focus on on non-formal education of young people.

Organization Status:M is a non-profit organization with the aim of raising awareness, questioning and deconstructing prevailing social norms and stereotypes.

Through non-formal education and grassroot activism, Status:M is strengthening and encouraging, primarily boys, men and marginalized members of society, to actively contribute to the transformation of our society.

By informing the public, strengthening experts and advocating the improvement of public policies and practice, Status:M is building a non-violent, inclusive, and gender-equal society.

Resource center – M-center

Resource center works on building capacity regarding involving young people, and relates direct work with young people with evaluation, standardizing, preparing methodologies and working with professional workers for young people.

Throughout M-center we are also continuously working on raising awareness of the society about the importance of including men in the processes of achieving gender equality.

Human rights, non-violence, gender equality, feminism, education, inclusion, solidarity and activism

are just some of the values on which Status:M is based.
