Last week was really busy in the Status:M calendar. Apart from organizing two workshops in Dubrovnik, part of the team was active in Čakovec, where they organized a seminar for professors and staff from schools all over Međimurje county.
In cooperation with Institute for public health of Međimurje county Status:M organized a two day educational seminar for 24 professors and staff. The event lasted on Thursday and Friday, 10th and 11th of October and was held by two experience educators and facilitators, Mislav Mandir and Natko Gereš.
Participants had a chance to hear some information about the work of Status:M itself, but the main focus was on introducing the successful methodology that Status:M is using when working with youth. The M Manual is methodology developed with partners in the region and it has showed to be a very useful tool.
The satisfactions that was felt after two days of extensive work was mutual, for both Status:M team and the participants. School staff and professors had a chance to learn about new tools and methodology that they will have a chance to use in their work and Status:M expanded its network of connections with the experts in the field of school and youth work.
A series of tri seminars in two days is concluded with an excellent grade. It is extremely important for our organization that we communicate with people who work with young people on a daily basis. We are honoured to have met such a big number of devoted experts in so little time and we learned a lot through interaction and communication with them. We hope that are suggestions, experiences and tools will help them in every day work.
