We had an active week behind us in which we organized seminars for professors and school staff in towns of Bjelovar and Sveti Križ Začretje. In a week that just started we are planning to do the same in the town of Čakovec.
On Thursday and Wednesday Status:M team had a chance to organize a seminar in the Great Hall of Bjelovarsko – bilogorska županija. One of the goals of the seminar was to equip professors and school staff with new tools in working with young people. All the participants showed great interest in the “YOUNG MEN INITIATIVE: promotion of gender equal norms, healthy lifestyles and nonviolent behaviour of the youth” program. A lot of the participants expressed that this model of working with youth is extremely important. They also added that they will definitely use some of the tools and knowledge that they acquired from the seminar. This event was supported by Bjelovarsko- bilogorska županija, Department for education, culture and sports. The seminar was also attended by Lidija Novosel, vice major of the town of Bjelovar.

After two successful days in Bjelovar Status:M team headed to the Krapinsko – zagorska županija. The goal was again to teach and transfer knowledge to professors and school staff of this county. The group of around 20 participants gathered in Primary school Sveti Križ Začretje. The experienced Status:M team help them understand the most important aspects and workshops of the Young Men Initiative program. A big number of participants said that they would like to learn even more about the program and there was some talk about organizing a new seminar in the close future.
Two seminars were attended by 47 professors and school staff from over 30 different primary and high schools.
This Thursday Status:M is finishing its series of three seminars in two weeks. This time the team is going to Čakovec where it will organize a two day seminar for professors and school staff in cooperation with the Institute of public health in Međimurska županija. The seminar will be held in the space provided by the Institute of public health on 10th and 11th of November.
